Nil Balakaya Exposed In Accident!

Media reported yesterday (09th) that four members of the Nil Balakaya died in an accident at Angunukolapelassa. They were under the influence of liquor at the time of the accident and were driving a double cab.

 The double cab belongs to the Department of Land Reclamation and Development and bears registration no HB 5048. It was given to the Nil Balakaya on the instructions of Deeshan Gunasekera a Working Director of the Department. He is a close relative of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapakse and was appointed to the Department following the 2005 Presidential Election. In addition, double cabs bearing registration nos HB 5095 and 52 – 2281 have also been given to Nil Balakaya for their usage.

A Toyota Prado luxury jeep bearing registration no 65 – 2877 has been given by the same Department to Minister Neomal Gunasekera for his usage. It was involved in an accident recently and was repaired at state expense and returned to the Minister.

Will the Elections Commissioner please take urgent note of this scandalizing wastage of state resources for the usage of one family?
